Assistant Legislative Counsel (Assamese) Job Notification by UPSC

Ministry of Law and Justice and Legislative Department invites applications for the post of Assistant Legislative Counsel (Assamese) for Official Languages Wing. Pay scale is Rs. 15,600 to 39,100 with 6,600 (Grade Pay). It is a permanent (group ‘A’ gazette), non-ministerial and central govt. job. Place of posting will be at New Delhi.

Educational qualification:

Applicant must be a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) from any recognized university of institute incorporated by or under Central Act / Provincial Act or State Act. (Or) LLB with below mentioned experiences.

For LLM: Applicant should be a member of State Judicial Service for at least five years (Or) in service for state govt. legal department for five years or experience in legal affairs for central govt. servant for five years (Or) a qualified legal practitioner for five year (Or) teacher in law for five year in any recognized university or institution (Or) experience of translation into Assamese language of statutes, statutory rules and orders in central govt. or state govt. (Or) five years of experience of statute drafting in central govt. or state govt.

For LLB: All of the above mentioned sectors with at least 7 years of experience.

Age limit: As on date of application candidate should not be more than 40 years.

Probation: One year
