At the end of the day Crime Branch of India (CBI) seized around
1 quintal gold, 2 quintal silver, 2 firm houses, 4 apartments, 204 acre of
land, Bank-passbooks of around Rs. 2 crore and 8 highly expensive four wheelers
during ‘Operation SEASHORE’. It must be a great raid by CBI in Odisha in
association with many central govt. departments.
On Thursday, 25th September 2014, 16 divided
teams of CBI raid over 17 places inside Odisha (several places at Bhubaneswar
& Cuttack, Khurda Sarua, Puri, Ganjam Buguda, Dhenkanal and Rayagada) 3
places in Mumbai, and each places in Kolkata, Bangalore and Dadra Nagar Haveli.
During raid, CBI seized papers and documents of more than 9
crore rupees from a private engineering college; which was previously highly funded
by SEASHORE. However, CBI didn’t get any clue and relevant information during
its raid on SEASHORE Chief, Prashant Das’s house at N.A. Majesty Apartment in
Jharpada.
Apart from these CBI raided on resident of Managing Director
of SEASHORE AGRO INDUSTRIES LTD. Mr. Prabhas Chandra Mohanty at Bharatpur;
Vice-President Pradyumna Rout at Kapilaprasad; Director Gopal Chandra Sahu of
Sarua village, Khurda; Head Office at Shahid Nagar, Packing Industry building,
TV Office at Patia, Ayurvedic Hospital at Nayapalli and Tourism Office at
Cuttack.
With the help of other state and central govt. departments, CBI
is under mission to find out SEASHORE CHITFUND’s investment in several small
industries in and outside the state Odisha.
