The upper air cyclonic movement
over Gulf of Siam (Thailand) and its neighbor south-west Asian countries is
getting deeper now, which may hit Odisha and Seemandhra coastal within 12th
of October 2014 as per recent report of IMD,
India Meteorological Department.
The possible cyclone ‘Hudhud’ (is an Oman’s contribution to the list of storm names, see list of storm
names below) is may be going severe as heavy rainstorm occurred in some
parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Last year on 8th of October
2013, this kind of low pressure concentrated and caused deep depression in Bay
of Bengal, and Phailin occurred. Similarly some depiction of cyclonic storm is
going to emerge within 36hrs.
328
coastal villages in Odisha were alerted
Habitants of more than 10 lakh
in 328 nos. of coastal villages in Odisha were already informed through news
and hourly telecasting and radioing by IMD cyclone warning division of Odisha. However, it was not an officially alerted as
it is still one day to get a clear satellite picture; as it was indicating a
form over Tenasserim coast and Andaman, which is about 1,300 km from
Gopalpur-on-Sea. It was said by the IMD that the cyclonic storm may enter hit
Odisha at a speed of 130-140km per hour.
It is very well known to us
that the aftereffects of last year’s cyclone Phailin are under recovering; meanwhile
the announcement of today’s cyclonic movement in Bay of Bengal created a fatal
fear among the coastal survivals.
Official
announcement and alert notice
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik
said, “The government is well prepared for the possible cyclonic storm - Hudhud”.
And, it was alerted by the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) to 16 district
collectors and Deputy Relief Commissioner Pravat Mohapatra to all 30 District Collectors
to notice their district officials to take their position at any condition.
The OSDMA force and Fire
department officials were already been directed for relief and rescue
operations, mostly in coastal districts.
