Odisha Govt Raises Retirement Age of OHMS Cadre Medical Officers from 62 yrs to 65 yrs

Bhubaneswar: On a video conference, on 21st July 2020, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced some special packages related to Covid-19 management along with increased the retirement age of OHMS Cadre Medical Officers and Allopathic Insurance Medical Officers under Labour and ESI Department from 62 years to 65 years.

Chief Minister reviewed the Covid situation in Khurdha and Cuttack district and sanctioned 15crore to each district towards Covid-19 management. Especially to develop Covid Care Home and Covid Care Centre to several organization, associations and industries.

CM Odisha also sanctioned 20.64 from CM Relief Fund towards new Covid Hospital and Covid Care Centres in Khurdha and Cuttack districts.

It is also decided to increase beds and ICUs in Aditya-Ashwini Hospital (150 beds and 30 ICUs) and Neelanchal Hospital (141 beds and 15 ICUs) for Covid treatment. Additional 925 beds will be arranged in other Covid Care centres in Cuttack.

A special Covid-19 Training & Information Centre shall be open at SCB Medical College, Cuttack.

People under below poverty line will be benefited free 5kg Rice and 1kg Dal from July to November due to lockdown and shutdown in the state.
