PM Modi to lay foundation stone of Ram Temple in Ayodhya on August 5, 200 people to attend

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic and to ensure maximum social distancing at Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra has decided that there will be not more than 200 peple, including 140 invites, said Swami Govind Dev Giri, treasurer of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will first ofer prayer to Lord Ram at the temple and Lord Hanuman at Hanuman Garhi temple in Ayodhya; then will lay the foundation stone of the Ram Temple scheduled to built from August 5th onwards. On the foundation stone laid function all the chief ministers of India including deputy PM L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and Vinay Katiyar were invited as per Swami Govind Devi Giri’s statement. 

A three days pre-puja by 11 priests from Varanasi and Ayodhya will be performed from August 3rd onwards, which will end with Bhoomi Pujan on August 5. 

The auspicious timing for foundation stone laying ceremony for PM Modi is 12:15pm, August 5 accoring to Hindu Calendar, as stated by Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, heir to Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Chairman of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra.
