Film 'Abhilash' nominated for Cannes International Film Festival

Hinjili, Ganjam Based Short-film “Abhilash” has been nominated for screening at the Cannes International Film Festival. The festival held in France featured about 82 films from around the world. 'Abhilash' is in the final stage of four films from India and one from Odisha.

A competition organized by WeFilmGood Lockdown film Festival in Association with Cannes International Film Festival. 'Abhilash' was first selected for online screening and entered into next round for public voting.

Earlier the film grabbed many awards during #Covid19 lockdown in India. Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik also praised the team over twitter. The film was directed by Krushna Chandra Sahu in association with Cinematography T. Srinivas. The main character of this short film is a child artist T Shivaji Das. This is the first time that Hinjilicut’s film has been screened abroad. The entire team urged the citizens to vote in favour of the film to bring it to the center-stage of global films.
